Why We Should Never Buy Pets From Pet Stores Again

Do you get all excited when on the weekends, you and your friends go visit the nearby malls and see so many cute puppies in the pet stores? Next time you go,( I hope you dont visit pet stores ever again after reading this post) make sure you check out people’s faces when they try to interact with those cute puppies. Puppies definitely make us happy and lower our blood pressure(really, based on scientific research).

But do you know that all of the puppies you see at pet stores are mostly likely from one of the puppy mills across the country. First of all, let me share with you what a puppy mill is. A puppy mill is where people get a male and a female and let them mate like crazy to produce tons of puppies. They often are treated badly and not fed properly at these kind of locations. Over-crowded cages with dirty poops all around them, puppies often suffer health problems and also mental problems from the first day of their birth.
Then poor puppies are sent to various pet stores around the country for BIG profits. They leave their parents and do not get enough mother’s milk and this can bring health problems when they grow up. Because of the over-production of puppies from these puppy mills, we are overcrowd with so many dogs and so few people to take care of them. Where do they go? Shelters and end up dead. That’s a dog’s tragic life. All because of a few bad businessmen and public’s lack of education.
Please never go visit those pet stores again. When you want a dog or puppy, go to your local shelter and find one. There is a lot of websites that give you match options to find your best suitable dogs or puppies.
When we stop buying pets from pet stores, that will be the time when puppy mills disappear from our world.
