New High Tech Devices Replace the "Lost and Found Dog " Signs Frequent in Neighborhoods
By Gary Madden

You see them hanging on Stop Signs, Telephone Poles, Trees, Stakes in the ground, etc. "Lost Dog" or "Found Dog" in every subdivision and neighborhood. Some dogs just love to "run off". They usually come back home eventually or some good neighbor finds them and calls the number on their tags or the sign.

But … What if? We never want to think about that. Someone may just decide to keep that $1,000 Yorkie or that prized hunting dog. Then what? Of course, if you live in an urban area, the saddest result of all can be finding your wonderful, wandering pet lying on the side of the road … victim to a speeding automobile.

We bought the most beautiful Dalmatian for my son when he was three years old and it was great except, it did not and we seemingly could not train it to just be outside the back yard fence one minute and it was on a race through the neighborhood. We knew nothing of GPS systems for dogs in those days or underground fences. Dorothy, or "Dot" as we called her was one of the most beautifully marked Dalmatians I have ever seen. She was a great family pet, but when my son was nine, we moved to a small town where we had a huge cyclone fenced back yard where Dot could run and play to her hearts content, but one day my niece failed to shut the gate behind her and Dot was out in a flash to dash across the street to a dog in the fence across the street.

Of course, she never saw the speeding car coming around the corner and we heard the impact and screeching tires and ran out to find our poor Dot lying in the road with her back leg severely mangled. After several thousand dollars at the vet, her rear leg was amputated and we brought her home from the doggie hospital severely emaciated.

She recovered and adapted to walking and running pretty well on three legs, but she absolutely refused to ever leave the fence again unless she was in our arms. You could actually leave the gate open and she would just stand there and tremble, but she would not go outside that gate even if you were standing there and calling her.

How I wish I had known about electric fences in those days! Or the earlier times when she got out and we searched two days before a neighbor found her. Certainly a GPS pet locater would have made a difference. There are even training collars and systems that can be purchased today to easily and safely train your pet to stay within boundaries.

There is really no excuse for these things today because there are many high-tech dog training devices and GPS Pet locater’s that will prevent all of those horror stories. PetSafe, one of the most trusted names in animal care has just released a new PetSafe GPS Pet Locater that is finally an affordable GPS system anyone can afford. You can find them now in most pet stores, but PetSafe has a required price so you won’t find them any cheaper by shopping around.

In fact, we have them on our NiceDogShop website now with FREE SHIPPING UPS Ground in the continental US, so you simplest thing would be to just go to our website and order it and save the taxes if you live outside of Florida where they ship from and again there is no shipping charges either.

Married with two children age 22 and 13 and two beautiful pets, I have been a pastor for over 30 years. Since 2005, I have been working online to develop a secondary income due to the onset of a progressive disability that at this time has rendered me unable to stand or walk on my own and forced me to resign my life-long profession.

I have been blessed to find a way to secure my family’s financial future and hope that you purchase with confidence on any of my Sites. It is my desire to provide you excellent products at affordable prices - http://nicedogshop.com

A Review of the 3 Best Organic Dog Foods
By Jane Dinunzio

Karma Organic Dry Dog Food

The best, ultra premium organic dog food is Karma Organic Dry Dog Food, as they use over 95% organic ingredients in their dry dog kibble. Although they do not have a line of canned dog food, and just sell Karma Organic Dry Dog Food, it is the best choice if you want to eliminate chemicals, artificial preservatives, unnecessary additives, meat that is not fit for consumption, unhealthy fillers and in some cheap brands - road kill.

Karma Organic Dry Dog Food is the only dog food manufacturing company that can boast the over 95% organic ingredients. It also contains 18 certified organic ingredients and is made with organic whole fruits and vegetables - not dried. And just to add the perfect touch to their all natural organic environmentally friendly philosophy, they use packaging made with 100% recyclable material. Did you know that 95% organic ingredients are considered human grade food?

They provide 100% complete nutrition, and the ingredients list starts with number one being Organic Free Range Chicken, and continues like a menu in a health food restaurant. Changing your dog from the cheap grocery store brand to this highly organic dog food can be nothing but good, and will eliminate many of the health problems, allergies and illnesses caused by the food containing fillers, pesticides, herbicides, synthetic fertilizers, sewage sludge, GMO grains and all the nasty artificial preservatives and additives.

Although this is pricier than most, money saved by reducing health problems, and just the fact that you will be extending your dogs life seem to be worth the extra few dollars.

Newman’s Own Organics Pet Food

This pet food has more than 70% of all ingredients being organic. They use human grade all natural chicken and organic brown rice, and it is supplemented with high levels of antioxidants, Ester-C and probiotics.

Newman’s Own Organics pet foods do not use herbicides, pesticides or artificial fertilizers and is not irradiated, and do not contain chemical additives or preservatives. The ingredients are handled according to strict organic standards.

Newman’s Own Organics come in a variety of sizes of dry dog and cat food, and they also offer canned dog and cat food, as well as Newman’s Own Organics Dog Treats.

The 30% of ingredients that are non organic are still high grade ingredients that are completely safe, nutritious, all natural, and free of unnecessary fillers or harmful additives.

Natural Planet Organics Dry Dog Food

Natural Planet Organics does not list the percentage of organic to non organic ingredients, but its main ingredients are organic, and the rest are all natural.

Natural Planet Organics is certified organic dog food and classified by the company as Ultra Premium. Organic free range chicken is the first ingredient listed.

They also use organic grains, organic vegetables and organic fruits.

Additionally natural antioxidants are added, along with pre and probiotics, and an excellent combination of important supplemental vitamins and minerals for optimum health. Also glucosamine and chondroitin and high levels of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids and taurine, which are essential, are also included.

You will find there are no harmful preservatives, added chemicals or fillers, that are invariably found listed as ingredients of lesser quality brand kibble. The ingredients consist of a list that includes foods that we recognize and eat,and not a long list of chemicals. I always believe if I can’t pronounce it, I wouldn’t want to eat it. This also goes for my pets, and this organic food meets "my rule."

This organic food is offered as dry kibble only, for dogs and cats, and well worth the few extra dollars it may cost over less natural dog food.

Choosing any of the above mentioned three best certified, organic dog foods for your pet will give you peace of mind, and you can be confident that you are feeding your pet the best that is available. You will not have to worry about compromising your pet’s health, just as you don’t compromise your own family. After all, our pets are a very important part of our family, and giving them the best advantages of health and longer lives is up to us.

Allergies and the food we feed our dogs are generally related. I found eliminating low quality dog food has completely cured my dog of a horrible allergy problem. This included incessant licking, scratching and itching. Thousands of dollars spent at the vet couldn’t help determine the exact cause, but within one month on an all natural certified organic diet she was 100% better. http://www.recipes4gourmetdogs.com has the best organic food available.

Dogs Wear

There are many clothes for dog today that you can choose for beautiful or cute dog and for warm up them in the winter.

Why Should Dogs Wear Clothes?
By Christie Church

Are clothes for dogs just silly, frivolous notions of celebrities and ditsy heiresses? Some people can’t imagine why on earth anyone would put clothes on a dog. Some people may even laugh at pet parents who go the extra mile to dress up their pal. Even though dogs have survived just fine for thousands of years without wearing human clothes, it doesn’t mean dogs don’t need to wear them. On the same hand, humans survived for thousands of years without electricity and other modern conveniences, so obviously there’s always room for improvement in our lives and those of our dogs.

Over the centuries, various breeds of dogs developed adaptations to suit certain climates. For example, the Chihuahua originated from the warm climate of Mexico and developed characteristics to help them survive in the hot weather, such as big ears to help dissipate heat and very short hair to keep cool. As a result, Chihuahuas lose a lot of body heat and are sensitive to cooler temperatures. Chihuahuas will often shiver in temperatures which are quite comfortable to us. In fact, most toy breeds are sensitive to the cold because their tiny bodies don’t generate enough heat due to low body mass.

The right shirt or jacket can provide protection from the elements. A nice raincoat can keep your dog from getting completely soaked on those rainy days. Keeping your pet dry is a win-win situation for everyone. You can go on walks with your dog on rainy days, you won’t need to spend time drying your dog once you get home or endure wet dog smell. Last but not least, your pal won’t suffer from feeling cold and wet. With the right outfit, your dog will stay cleaner, warmer and drier in inclement weather. A warm jacket, coat or sweater can really help short-haired breeds remain warm and cozy on cold, blustery days. It is not realistic to assume a Boxer or other short-haired breed will be warm enough in winter snow. Many breeds can benefit from a snuggly warm sweater, not just tiny little dogs.

In the warmer months, a cool cotton t-shirt or dress can allow your dog to play in the sun for hours without getting sunburned. Yes, dogs are susceptible to ultra violet rays and sunburn, too. You can even apply bug repellent to your dogs clothes instead of applying directly on the dog. Speaking of bugs, a dog shirt can act as a barrier against biting insects such as mosquitoes, ticks and flies. Anything we can do to improve the lives of our companions is a good thing!
